What are the ferry schedules and alternative transport options to Koh Chang for my visa stamp trip?

Hello everyone, 

I will be in Koh Chang for vacation from Saturday the 9th - Saturday the 16th. But I have to return to Bangkok on Tuesday the 12th in order to get my ED Visa stamped at immigration. Unfortunate, but it was the only option. Anyways, I am going to try to make a round trip from Koh Chang ferry to Immigration and back to Koh Chang (Ao Thammachat pier) on the same day. I have read that the last ferry departs at 18:00. Is this correct? I am nervous that I won't make it back in time to catch the ferry. Are there other options to get to Koh Chang besides the ferries?
