How can I efficiently extend my ED Visa at the immigration office without missing my language class?

hello everyone. I'm currently on an ED Visa and need to extend it for the first time next week.

My question: does anyone have experience with going to CW after lunch break and still being processed the same day? My language class is from 9am-12 and I don't really want to miss a day :-/

also, I have been traveling in and out of Thailand during the first 90 days. As I understand it, I don't need to make the 90 day report now, correct?! Only after I've been in Thailand for 90 days in a row. (Last time I entered was Feb 13th)

Thanks!

TLDR : Answer Summary
A user seeking to extend their ED Visa is inquiring about the best time to visit the immigration office without missing their language class. Comments provide shared experiences indicating that the immigration section handling ED visa extensions can be extremely busy, recommending early arrival around 7 AM. Some have had success with afternoon visits, but it's advised to avoid Mondays and Fridays due to higher foot traffic. Additionally, the user clarifies their understanding of the 90-day reporting requirement.

The N section is 99% of the time a true nightmare. Usually I would get there at 8am and out by 4pm, other time I've been there as long as until 7pm... Same as Tod I recommend being there super early, or get there before they close for lunch at 12, get a number, have lunch at the building and bring a book

Yes when it’s your turn and if you have all the right papers it’s not difficult and usually quick. Just all the waiting before your turn and before you get your passport is a pain

Okay thanks for the advice will go early then and wait my time. What's the procedure like? I thought just getting a number and when it's your turn hand in papers, wait again and collect passport?!

To be completely honest the section that deals with ED visa extensions (section N) is a night mare from the second the immigration office opens until WAY after it closes at 4:30.

I know someone who got there at 10AM and didn't get out of there until 5:30 (and they close at 4:30).

All I can say is IF you don't wanna spend hours and hours there get out there early, like before 7AM, get in line and then get your queue inside. You should be out by 10:30 or so.

Don't stress about a single day of class bud. Sort out the visa.

For the 90 day report you are correct, it is only if you are 90 days inside the country. If you have the Single Entry ED visa I hope you used the re-entry permits while travelling? I have no experience for extensions at CW , can not help you with that part.
