Just received my DTV, issued from London. It took 7 days but that was because they wanted better images of my passport and photo. When I resent them it was issued in 2 days and cost £300. I’m a construction project manager in England which means some of my work can be done remotely

TLDR : Answer Summary
The original poster shared their experience of obtaining a Digital Nomad Visa (DTV) from London, highlighting the processing time of 7 days which was extended due to requests for better document images. After resending the required images, the visa was issued within 2 days at a cost of £300. Several commenters discussed their thoughts on remote work in the construction sector, expressing interest in the feasibility of conducting such work from Thailand and noting the benefits of the DTV for remote workers.
as I’m a QS for a construction company so can work remotely a lot of the time and was wondering weather I would get the visa being a QS so this has pleased me 😎
A construction manager in the U.K. coming to Thailand? That’s a first I’ve heard in terms of a “digital nomads” role overseas. Wouldn’t you have to be on site? Isn’t Thailand a bit far away?
yes mate, a lot of the work is done before the ‘ground is broken’ . design, teams meetings etc. I spend around 6 months a year in thailand but not in one block, a lot of travelling but this means I don’t have to worry about visa’s and border runs
