TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is struggling to have their income documentation accepted by the embassy for a Non-Immigrant O visa. Despite submitting official documents, they are facing continuous rejections. Commenters suggest that the embassy likely requires bank statements to verify income, as these show actual deposits rather than just declared amounts. They recommend the user directly request clarification from the embassy on what specific documentation is needed and consider providing both official documents and bank statements together. Some users share their own experiences with Thailand's bureaucratic challenges, noting that hiring an agency may simplify the visa process.

I'm sure they want to see official Bank statements and possibly a cover letter veryfying them.

I have used bank account statements which show monthly deposits from my retirement and social security. Maybe you can use them and if need be have your bank certify they are correct and accurate. Bank statements should have all your info on them including your current address.

That’s the problem with Thailand bureaucracy no other way for me to put it. They can choose to deny somebody just because they want to. They can decide to deny your documents just because they want to therefore is much better and worth it to have an agency take care of it for you. I don’t know if the agencies have to pay a little bit more to the embassy. I have no idea, but I noticed as much easier when I used to live there I got rejected for my visas all the time, and I got tired of trying to do it by myself so I hired an agency and I didn’t get rejected anymore. It’s worth the money. Trust me they would deny my documents say that the stamp is not exactly where it’s supposed to be. It’s quarter of an inch off or the signature is not exactly where it should be across the line a little bit. Trust me. It’s all about extra money cause once you pay your fee if they reject you, you gotta pay the fee again.

For your information: the bureaucracy for Thai people applying for Schengen visa is the same!

So I guess it’s all about the money for them too.(ironi)

Its a problem for everyone, not only thai immigration!

They want bank statements , sounds like you only provided a contract stating your salary

If none of the above suggestions work, maybe you should try sending them an email and ask them for an example of what they will accept for an income statement.

you are not old enough to apply for a Non-IMM-retiremnet visa. Only if you are married to a Thai wife, you can apply for a visa

Have you ever applied for and received a Non O visa previously? And if you are old enough, are your plans to apply for a retirement visa once you arrive?

If the documents are legitimate but the embassy doesn't accept them, it is likely that they want to see bank transactions that clearly reflect your income. Some embassies only trust bank statements because they show actual deposits instead of just declarations or official documents.

What you can do now:

1. Provide a bank statement:

Download a recent statement showing the reflected income.

Make sure it includes your name, the amount, and the source of income.

If the income is unclear, highlight the deposits with an explanatory note.

2. Ask directly what format they need:

Reply to the email stating that the documents sent are official and legitimate.

Ask if a bank statement would be sufficient and if there's any specific format required.

3. Attach both documents:

If possible, send the official document along with the bank statement to strengthen your proof.

If the embassy continues to reject the documents, explain that they are official and legitimate, and ask them to specify exactly what information is missing.

What did you show them?

Official documents with proof of income, but I think they want proof from my bank; however, the documents are legitimate.

- it is hard to give advice when it isn’t fully clear the situation. The one point I can see is you keep saying you have shared “proof of income” when the email says they want proof

that you “received” that income. So maybe in addition to employment letters you also attach bank statements showing the equivalent money going into your account?
