Are there limits on the number of times I can visit Thailand in a year under the new visa rules?

Fabulous thanks all. Much appreciated. Love this group .

Asking on here and sorry if it has been asked before.

We are here in thailand for 9 days for medical reasons and plan on coming back in August this year for a couole of months.

Is this possible with the new visa rules. I have heard only one trip to Thailand per year?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The post discusses concerns about the possibility of multiple trips to Thailand within a year under the new visa regulations. Responses indicate that there are no limitations on the number of times one can visit as a genuine tourist, despite rumors suggesting otherwise. It is advised to check visa requirements, as the typical tourist entry period may change, and to consult official sources like Thai immigration for accurate information.

Good question.

Don’t believe everything you hear, a prime example being the Tangerine Turnip.

Suggest you contact Thailand’s Immigration Bureau for a response to your question.

Ask Thai immigration or your local Thai Embassy before coming here.

EmeraldWolf7059 thanks for your input. We have been travelling around Asia for a while and to be fair we are a bit exhausted with the visa requirements and rules so felt it was pertinent to ask here where the info is . We have been reading thanks tho

I would assume that by august it’s only 30 days so best to look at the requirements for a tourist visa which gives you 60 days .Do you know how to use a computer,if not get practicing

There are no new vis rules! But the 60 days visa exempt will probably bu changed to 30 days.

You heard incorrectly. There's no 'one trip to Thailand per year' rule.

There are no new visa rules and there are no limits on the number of visa exempt entries for genuine tourists

That should be fine. There are no new rules, although they are getting a bit stricter at enforcing the existing rules

You’ve heard wrong. There is no actual limit to the number of times you can visit but if you do frequently (like back to back ) then expect to be questioned.

Typical tourists would generally not be.
