TLDR : Answer Summary
Yes, there has been a change regarding the TM30 requirement, specifically in Chiang Mai. The local Immigration office announced some leniency for reporting. Landlords and property owners should contact their local Immigration office for guidance on how to report foreign residents. It's advisable for foreigners to request a receipt of the report and ensure updates are made as necessary.
I'm looking for the official announcement on the Royal Gazette. If I can find the announcement, *AND* it'll be enforced equally throughout all immigration offices, we'll make an announcement on it.
I'm sorry, but I'm not going to use a translation done by a Thai visa form group :\ I'd like to see something official on an official government website
Well noticed. Chang Mai Immigration announced some leniency for reports. If you are the land - or house owner, house master, land lord, possessor of the house or manager of a hotel, guesthouse, hostel etc, contact your local Immigration office on how they want you to report a foreigner staying at your address.
As a foreigner, always ask for a receipt of the report and make sure it is done and updated when needed.
