TLDR : Answer Summary
If you forget to download the tracking app and communicate your rapid test results upon arrival in Thailand, experiences shared by expats indicate that authorities may not strictly enforce penalties. Many reported successfully handling their test results by emailing them to their hotel instead of using the app, and some noted that they faced no significant issues even after not following the app protocol. However, there are also comments about the app's unreliability and instances of being asked for proof of testing later during travel. Overall, while some faced challenges, others did not encounter problems.

I took test but app wouldn't work so I took clear photo of the result. Didn't email result to hotel but was asked for proof when I boarded plane at Ubon a week later when I boarded plane to Bangkok. No issues

I wasn’t even given a test or asked to download any app

When I looked at my pcr test document the date time stamp on the completed test at the lab was 6 hours after I landed, the hotel didn’t tell me until 7am which was 14 hours later…just fyi call the front desk around the 6.5-8 hour mark so you can start your vacation

Arrive and you are forgotten. No one said anything to me about an app. I haven’t done anything and I have been here for almost 2 weeks.

The app has never worked. Most people just email the results to their test&go hotel.

Are you referring to the self antigen test or the RT PCR test ? The RT pcr test is administered to you at a hospital under a test and go package
