TM30 question.. delete if inappropriate.

Does immigration keep track of flights? I want to visit Chiang Mai during Loy Krathong and was hoping I wouldn’t have to go through the TM30 crap if I come back to Bangkok. I can stay over at a friends house there so I wasn’t really planning to file a TM30 there anyway just for those 2 days. Unless they check flight records, they wouldn’t be able to tell I left Bangkok.

They do not check. In this example, you would likely have no problems.

Thankyou. I hate to ‘break the rules’, but the TM30 stuff is just an incredible nuisance
