Has anyone applied for and received a DTV as a creative (ie, artist, writer, artisan, musician, etc)? I'm actually attempting to spend extended time in Thailand to pursue a career change from healthcare but I don't have any particularly recent projects to show and my resume would just reflect my healthcare background and education for which I do not have a remote job lined up.
I have published a children's book in the past. I do have my own registered LLC as just my name in my home state.
I could *create* a position as I did work remotely before. I plan to apply at the hcmc consulate if that helps.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The post seeks advice on applying for a Digital Nomad Visa (DTV) in Thailand as a creative individual transitioning from a healthcare career. The author expresses concern over a lack of recent projects and only having a background in healthcare, despite having published a children's book and owning an LLC. Community members suggest demonstrating income sources outside Thailand, showcasing a portfolio, and providing proof of revenue generation from creative work.
I believe what they want to see is that you have a revenue stream outside of Thailand. For example, you can show that you are a consultant in different industries, either creative or technical, but you would want to demonstrate that you’re making money doing those things. What I did was show a proposal I sent to a client, screenshots of the work completed, and screenshots of the deposit showing the client paid for the work. If you have a children’s book, you’d want show how you’re making money from it, or make a case for how it contributes to your income.
