TLDR : Answer Summary
Several community members recommend that you do not need an agent to open a bank account at Bangkok Bank, as the process is straightforward. Required documents typically include a passport, visa copy, passport-sized photo, and a Certificate of Residence. Some participants shared that they successfully opened accounts without an agent, while others mentioned specific banks or agents that can assist, such as Thai Visa Centre and Siam Legal. It's noted that visiting a bank directly is often the most effective approach.

I did it.at Bangkok bank in the siam.mall 2022 very tourist friendly just go in and ask what they want in 2024! it took me a day i went to us embassy and got notarized copy of my passport cost $50. be aware that the banking app stops working if you change phones, you will need to get bank staff to help you when that happens

I did not use an agent to open my account at Bangkok Bank. You will need passport, copy of VISA, passport size photo, and a Certificate of Residence issued by Immigration. Immigration will need a completed TM 30 form.
