What are the best banks for opening an account in Bangkok for a DTV holder?

**Any recommendations for opening a bank account in Bangkok?

**

Ideally in Sukhumvit, but I’m flexible.

I’m on a Workation DTV (remote employee).

Has anyone had experience with specific bank branches? What documents were required?

Thanks in advance!

TLDR : Answer Summary
The best options for opening a bank account in Bangkok for those on a Workation DTV visa include Krungsri and TTB banks. TTB is particularly noted for its acceptance of DTV holders and specific requirements include a visa, passport, remote employment certificate, and a TM30 form. Multiple users report positive experiences, especially at the TTB On Nut branch, with account setup completed in approximately one hour, awarding debit cards and bankbooks on the spot.

TTB, they had a fixed set of requirements:

1. The visa itself

2. Passport

3. Home country driving license

4. Remote Employment Certificate

5. Proof of home country TIN

6. Thai mobile number

7. TM30

In and out in roughly one hour today. Got a debit/ATM-card, a bankbook, and help to setup their app. Due to being a foreign national the online services (QR pay etc) are activated tomorrow but I was able to deposit some cash at the ATM.
