What are the options for border bounces currently?

It seems Laos, Cambodia, and Myanmar all have e-Visa programs and no Visa-free option, for Canadians such as myself. Is this true?

I ask because I need to leave Thailand to refresh my visa by Monday and the e-Visa applications all take ~3 business days so that's not gonna work.

I had a flight to Vietnam leaving tonight but they turned me away at the airport due to a small discrepancy with my approved visa, so I'm scrambling a bit here.

Is my only option Malaysia?

TIA.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The options for Canadians looking to border bounce to refresh their Thai visa include Malaysia and Singapore, where entry is allowed without a pre-purchased visa. Both Cambodia and Laos offer visa-on-arrival options, which require payment in cash upon arrival. It's important to note that Myanmar's land borders are currently closed to foreigners, eliminating it as a viable option. Understanding your specific visa situation and deadlines is crucial in selecting the best country for a quick exit and re-entry.

Okay I deleted most of the off topic comments that had NOTHING to do with the O/P's situation (sorry some good comments got deleted too).

The O/P has a 6 month METV and that VISA expires on Oct 25th so they need to make their final exit/entry on/by that date

They don't wanna bounce by land (which is their choice) SO they need a country to get in to without having to buy a visa before they go

As James said Cambodia/Lao they can show up and by a visa at the airport when they land, Malaysia they get in to FREE, so a bounce to KL is an option, Singapore they get in to for free as well.

Those are the only countries I know of where they can just show up get in and out easily.

Sadly for you

as much as you don't want to border bounce by land that may be the most cost effective solution to your problem.

Good luck with it, apologies for deleting helpful comments when I was taking out the not so helpful ones 😮

What about Singapore? It's usually a cheap flight.

Almost 60 days on this entry. I'm aware I can extend for 30 more but I need to make my last entry on my METV by Oct 25 so if I were to go spend the day and the 1900 extending it I only get 2 weeks and have to leave again anyway. So its a bit messy.

Considered that, but they are not cheap currently 😅

For both Cambodia and Laos you can buy the visa on arrival. Best to bring dollars. I am not sure about the fees. Anything between 30 and 50 USD

Myanmar land borders are CLOSED to foreigners.

Where are you now in Thailand?

Thanks for the info. I have a valid multi-entry tourist visa so coming back in shouldn't be an issue.

I see. I'm in Bangkok. Flying is an option for me as well, if that wasn't clear.
