What are the advantages and disadvantages of choosing a DTV through soft power versus workation in Thailand?

I want to apply for DTV in Vietnam. I am basically eligible for both, workation and Myai Thai camp (soft power). Now I am choosing an option to go with. I am more inclining towards Myai Thai (since I want to attend classes anyway). Are there any disadvantages with soft power path compared to workation? Based on available history, which of them (soft power or workation) is easier when re-entering (after 6 month)? Do they ask a re-confirmation that you are still attending the Myai Thai classes when you are re-entering after 6 month (has it ever happened to anyone)? Also any potential differences with handling taxes (for non-Thai income)? Which of them has more chances (in general) for paying no taxes in Thai?

There is no difference in the tax situation between the two options. If you bring 120k baht or more of assessable income into Thailand in any year you are a tax resident you need to file a Thai tax return. If your income is from a country which has a Dual Tax Agreement with Thailand then you can claim a credit against Thai tax for tax already paid on the income you bring in. 180 days or more inside Thailand in a calendar year automatically makes you a tax resident that year

A DTV is a DTV. Only how it is obtained differs. Soft power route is the easiest in terms of documentation. There are no entry requirements when re-entering the Kingdom on a DTV. There is no difference in your tax situation between the different routes to obtaining the DTV.
