Please recommend the AQ Hotels in Bangkok and

advice me how I can get Health Insurance for tourist visa .

Embassy asked for the health insurance that covers 100,000 USD$ with 3 months validity.

I’d like to know the way I can directly buy it.

Thai embassy website in The Netherlands now says they will only except Thai insurance but apparently this doesn't go for all countries. I've had a Dutch insurance before and it was valid but I guess they are also keen on getting that money into Thailand.

I used this company for my wife and daughter while travelling in Asia. They are professional, friendly and responsive. Policy provides 100k of insurance for Covid and 250k lifetime max. If you are diagnosed with C19 they cover quarantine costs up to 50 dollars a day. They definitely cover COVID related issues including hospitalization and medical evacuation. They also cover scooter accidents. They routinely issue temporary policies for travel to Thailand. They actually respond if you need them. They are underwritten by Tokyo Marine. Highly recommended.

I chose Bangkok hospital because of the doctor who did it the first time. I think they like to pad insurance claims. I had a doc on my bill for 20k I never even saw. They said it was the initial doc I saw in the hospital but pointed out I went direct to my previous doc. They came back and said the 20k doc contacted my insurance company in the UK😁. Dengue was only around 80k as I recall for about 5 days as I remember in hospital. This doesn't need surgical docs, so this I would have related closer to covid treatment for administrating oxygen which is why 50k seems a lot to me.

Yeah they pad. I currently have very good insurance through work. It is better than I had in Singapore with Big Pharma. Hoping I never need it though. I use Bumrungrad as my GP service with it now. Lol

You go into ICU in Thailand in a private hospital and 50k will not last you a week.

In ICU in a private hospital the charges are very high. Pal was in one as precaution only other week after bike accident. All he needed was a few stitches and observation after concussion. 80k for about 8 hours in hospital. If you really needed treatment it could by 10 times that. A bit moot really. Most private hospitals were not taking Covid patients.

How much were knee ops here? Hurt my knee here 5 years ago but went to Singapore for op. Cost 12k SGD for torn meniscus with 1 night stay

around 500k at Bkk hospital was charged on my insurance. Last one was about 12 years ago for ACL reconstruction. For the same op a friend did at Thonburi hospital for about 150k around the same time.

You can buy cheap one from Myanma Insurance around 100 USD which is accepted by Thai Immigration.
