Hi. Has anyone experienced going back onto a tourist visa after having a non B visa. Any issues? How many tourist visas could I possibly get after having a Non B.

TLDR : Answer Summary
Many expats have shared their experiences transitioning from a Non B visa (work visa) to a tourist visa in Thailand, with most reporting no significant issues as long as proper procedures are followed. It is essential to cancel any work-related extensions before applying for a tourist visa. Although there is no official cap on the number of tourist visas one can obtain, repeating applications at the same consulate may result in scrutiny and potential denial. Proof of funds, accommodation, and onward travel may be requested at immigration.

I had a non B Visa with permission to work which was cancelled. A year later I returned on a SETV which I extended. Then an SETV from Laos (extended), two extended border bounces, another SETV from the UK (ext.) , another border bounce after the new year and finally an arrival by air. I never once had a problem but that's anecdotal. I always made sure I had proof of address and 20,000 baht just in case, but it was never needed. I never repeated a country.

Keep everything in order and I think you'll be fine.

Make sure if you are on an extension of stay based on employment that you cancel it first before you leave the country to get another visa.

Otherwise if you are ever gonna work here again you will have problems down the road getting Non-B extensions.

There is no official limit on how many Tourist Visa a person can get. Most of the Consulates and Embassies have a maximum on back to back Tourist Visa, they will put a stamp next to the visa that you travel to Thailand a lot using this visa and will not give you another visa. To avoid this stamp, use different consulates/embassies in different countries. On return using many tourist visa/visa exempt Immigration can ask for proof of funds, proof of onward travel and proof of accommodation.
