Has anyone flown in or out of Don Mueng Airport (DMK) recently? Is it handling Domestic Flights as normal? Also, what is the best public transportation to get there...MRT or BTS from Asoke area? Thanks in advance

TLDR : Answer Summary
Recent travelers have reported mixed experiences flying into Don Muang Airport (DMK), with a significant number of flight cancellations and low passenger demand. As for transportation from the Asoke area, neither the BTS nor the MRT directly services the airport; the recommended route involves taking the BTS to Mo Chit and then catching the express bus A1 or A2 to the airport. Alternatives like Grab and Bolt App are suggested for convenience.

There used to be a free shuttle bus from BKK if you could show you ticket.

Neither BTS or MRT go to the airport. Your best bet is taking BTS to Mo Chit then catching express bus A1 or A2.

Flew this week, 90% of flights cancelled, no demand to support more. Grab taxi.

Flew into Don Mueang a month or so ago, no issues. I just got a Grab instead of faffing about with public transport and suitcases.

Darren. It amazes me why people stuff around with public transport going to Don Mueang. What is it? About four hundred baht and you're dropped at the door.

yep, even less if you're that side of town/Sukhumvit! Think it was about 340 to Phra Khanong last month.
