TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is seeking advice on obtaining a longer visa for their stay in Thailand while engaging in PADI courses. They want to know about their options, as their planned duration exceeds the standard visa allowance. Multiple entry tourist visa .

I am nervous they will cut back the visa free to 30 days so that's what I did ,you can get 9 months out if it .

They want more tourism so logically they will cut back the visa free lol

Maybe Padi courses might be considered "soft powers" education course as relates to DTV visa?

not a chance...

60 days on arrival + 30 day extension, border bounce for another 30 then another 30 day extension = 5 months. Assuming you’re not over 50 for a retirement visa and don’t want to go DTV route.

@James *******
you’ll get another 60 on a bounce but with extending the first 60 good chance of being denied

How long is longer than normal for you?
