I am 51 from the UK. Struggling a bit to secure a job in Chiangmai - all English teaching jobs require a degree (which I don’t have) plenty of other qualifications including TEFL and over 20 years experience working with children. Not easy to secure work. Any ideas for work, visas etc to get me there as quickly as possible. Any help or advice much appreciated
TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is a 51-year-old from the UK struggling to find a job in Chiang Mai due to a lack of a degree, which is often a requirement for English teaching positions. They have qualifications like TEFL and extensive experience working with children, but are facing challenges in securing employment. Comments suggest considering the Non-O visa for those over 50, although it does not permit work, and recommend using Ajarn.com as a resource for job opportunities.
