Good morning I’m British but living in Portugal before and my bank statements are in Portuguese. Shall I translate them into English? I know that that’s what we’re supposed to do but of course it’s not gonna be on the original looking statement….

TLDR : Answer Summary
The inquiry revolves around whether British expats living in Portugal need to translate their Portuguese bank statements into English for a visa application in Thailand. A commenter suggests that if the individual is currently in Portugal, they should apply through the embassy in Lisbon, which may accept documents in their original language.

If you are physically in Portugal, you should apply via the embassy in Lisbon. They probably would accept documents in Portuguese.

not true at all, embassies require documents in English or Thai. I would use google lens to translate those documents into English and send them both copies
