So, in short, I don’t think they care about embassy letters. Maybe just show it if they ask.

Yeah I went to Samui today.

The only forms I needed:

1-TM7

2- STM2 (acknowledgement of terms and conditions for permit of temporary stay)

3- A Covid specific form that they have at the immigration office. (If it’s busy, I suggest finding the form first- should be outside on table, otherwise they make you go to the back of the line after filling it in)

4- copy of passport photo page and last visa stamps page.

5- 1 x passport photo.

That’s it!

I came with two copies of everything, signed and stamped documents from my landlord, a screenshot of the code from my landlord registering me online TM3O and proof that my embassy is not supplying a letter.......they didn’t want any of it 🤣🤣.

My tip- less organised, the better haha!

They gave the 60 day ext but you still have to return in 20 day’s to get the official stamp.

Why would it cause an issue?

If your embassy still issues the letter GET IT, if they don't then don't get it..
