Should I apply for a Non-B visa in Thailand after entering on a 30-day exemption, or wait for my appointment in Paris?

Hi all!

I am currently in France and have been waiting to apply for a Non-B (employment). The WP3 took a (very) long time to be delivered and I am now running out of time: the next available spot at the Paris Embassy to submit my passport is the day before I am supposed to fly out. :/

Question: would it be better to fly in on a 30 days exemption and sort out the non-B in Malaysia later? How long do they take to process a non-B there? Will the WP3 I have now still be valid then?

Or should I just wait and get it all done in Paris (even if that means paying a huge fee to change my flight)?

Has anyone got any feedback on a non-B processed in Paris since the new E-visa application was set up, how long it took etc?.. (not a fan of that system btw)

Sorry for all those questions I could really use some guidance!!

Thank you. :)

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is considering whether to enter Thailand on a 30-day exemption and later apply for a Non-B employment visa in Malaysia or to wait for their appointment at the Paris Embassy. They are seeking information on the efficiency of visa processing in Malaysia and whether their current WP3 will remain valid under these conditions. Commenters indicate that Malaysia typically processes Non-B visas quickly, with suggestions favoring the option to apply in Malaysia.

In between. If you apply in Penang with all the correct documents, you get your visa the day after your application.
