In regard to having the 800k in the bank to reapply for the Non-Imm O visa, which I do have, however, I had it in one Thai bank then transferred it to another Thai bank in early January. My return to Thailand will be sometime during March.
Will this affect the need for the requirement of having it for the 3 month prior period? My previous Non-Imm O visa will be invalid on my return because I failed to get a re-entry stamp on my leaving considering I would be gone for a longer period. Circumstances changed so, back earlier. Also, I assume I will need the 20k on my arrival. Correct? Thanks.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The transfer of your funds from one Thai bank to another does affect the 'seasoning' requirement, meaning the 800,000 THB must have been in the new account from the point of transfer. However, if you apply for a Non-O visa while still abroad or upon your return, there are different requirements regarding the funds, including proof that the money originated from overseas. Additionally, you will need to have 20,000 THB ready upon arrival.

You could certainly fly in on a 30 day visa exempt entry, then immediately go apply for the 90 day Non-O visa at the immigration office at Chaengwattana.
They do NOT require the 800K baht be seasoned any length of time to apply for an in country 90 day Non-O visa there, BUT they do require you prove the money came in from overseas originally.
You could be asked for the 20K baht proof of funds stamping in so I'd have it too.
If you plan to return to Thailand somewhere during March, I would say get the Non Immigrant O Visa based on being over 50 years of age before you make your way to Thailand, get 90 days of stay and after 60 days apply at Immigration of the Extension of Stay.
Will you be applying for a 90 day non-o in country or arriving with one in your passport? If the former there is no seasoning requirements, it just must come from overseas
I am presently in Vietnam. I was thinking to apply for it when I get back. Do you suggest I apply for a 90 day here, or just enter getting a 30 day tourist visa? Thanks
