Is there a limit on how many ED visas I can have back to back? Just finished a 9 month one. I want to apply for another 12 month one.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The limit on consecutive ED (Education) visas in Thailand largely depends on the school and the courses taken. While some schools allow students to apply for up to five consecutive ED visas for different language levels (beginner, intermediate, advanced), others may have varying policies. It's crucial to ensure that the courses pursued are not repeated, as that could affect eligibility for future visas. Additionally, transitioning between schools is possible, but one should be cautious about immigration processes, particularly during re-entry into Thailand. Legitimate schools are essential for securing long-term visas.
I managed two back to back with different schools. If you are progressing through a course some are meant to be upto 3 years (though might depend on the schools relationship with immigration).
The issue i had was immigration at BKK if you have to leave and come back. Having all the paperwork and a legit visa still wont be enough to just be allowed thru.
it depends on the school and for how many different courses they are certified. my school does 5 years (5 consecutive ED) for example. the important part is that you can do one course only one time. so its beginner, intermediade, advanced, etc. language learning.
if not they change anything this year .. there aint any problem, so long the school has different tiers in education levels... etc u cant do thai for beginners year after year.
