90 day report DTV (1st time) +7days?

I need to do the fist 90 day report after DTV obtention. I have the limit date on March 26, but this caught me traveling around Thailand. I read in several places that there’s a 7 day grace period after the date without any fine. Is that true?

On the 26th I will be in Bangkok and I reside in Chiang Mai. Can I do it in Bkk or do I need to do it in CM? I can ask for my TM30 at my hotel.

Thank you so much, have a nice day 🙂
Answer summary
The user inquired about the 90-day reporting requirements after obtaining a DTV visa, expressing concern about possibly being late due to travel. Responses confirmed that there is indeed a 7-day grace period for reporting, allowing for reporting until 7 days after the due date without penalties. Furthermore, while it's generally required to report at the immigration office corresponding to the registered address with the TM30 form, there were discussions indicating that a recent TM30 from a hotel in Bangkok might facilitate reporting even if residing elsewhere. The community emphasized planning ahead to avoid complications.

I just don't understand why people cannot plan better and do it on time.

Why would you take the chances of something going wrong?

In theory you could to it in Bangkok with a Bangkok hotel issued TM-30

Wait, so if I book airbnbs and hosts don't file TM30, but then on 89-90th day I get a hotel for a night and have it file TM30, I can go next day do the reporting, with the only address on file being the hotel for the last day and it's fine? Or it will be problematic?

I'm going soon and will be moving around every 1-2 weeks via airbnbs to check out different areas before I get a rental contract for long term, so will be a bit of a pain during first reporting potentially since most airbnb hosts won't do it, if I have to report each address.

So really, just curious how I can keep it least hassle free? Thanks!

You can only make a report that you are 90 days in Thailand at the Immmigration Office where your address is registered.

Part of this report is confirming your address.

The window to report is 15 days before day 90 until 7 days after.

@Robert ******
that is not correct. You have to do the 90 day report where your current TM30 has been lodged.

So you say the same as me, so you are also not correct.

OR you want to show of and have NO CLUE what a TM30 is.

Again as you keep telling that I'm not correct, becuase you followed my instructions as I wrote down:

"You can only make a report that you are 90 days in Thailand at the Immmigration Office where your address is registered."

AGAIN, if you tell you did exact as what I typed, why is it wrong?

"Ian Morrison

Robert Lagas that is not correct."

That's just a TM30 form. If I rent a condo in Jomtien but I'm travelling in Phuket when my 90 day report is due then I do my 90-day in Phuket where my hotel completed a TM30 on my arrival which cancelled my last TM30 in Jomtien. I know this because I did this last year.
