Hi. My daughter is on a Non Ed visa that's expiring this month. Does anyone know if it's possible to get a 1 month grace extension at immigration if she needs that time to get her flight tickets and plan her travel out of Thailand? Thanks.

TLDR : Answer Summary
A Non-Ed visa does not come with a grace period for extension. Extensions are generally not granted unless there are direct Thai relatives involved. An alternative option for extending her stay is to exit the country to a land border and re-enter, which could provide additional time.

No grace period.

If she hasnt done any land entries this year, she can just hop a land border & back, which'll give her the month she needs

she also needs to have been on a legit ED visa. They get quite carefully scrutinised

Does it matter so much if her ED visa is coming to an end anyway and shes not extending?

There is no grace period and no extension available unless your daughter has a direct Thai relative such as a spouse, parent or child.
