TLDR : Answer Summary
The 'Training 5 hours in office' refers to a mandatory session that includes theory lessons and tests necessary for obtaining a Thai motorbike license. This could involve watching instructional videos and taking a theory test. If you do not have a valid International Driving Permit (IDP), you must complete the training and the associated tests. It is advisable to prepare by studying online resources, as the theory test can be challenging.

I just like to point out it isn't that they don't speak English, it's that you don't speak Thai... You are in their country you should accommodate to them they don't have to accommodate for you. The fact that this is printed in English is very kind of them

well aren't you delightful. No wonder you're having such an issue.

Yep, 5 hours. There is a lunch break but no toilet breaks. You need to pay attention as the test contains questions from the multiple videos. Translation is not the best. Best to study online videos before the test.

The practical part requires you drive your bike on a raised board that is about 20 meters long and 10 cm wide. Your feet cannot touch the ground once you start.

I also brought my national and international driving licenses. After that, I only had to do 3 very simple tests. 1. Color recognition 2. 3-dimensional vision test and 3. braking reaction test. The 3 tests were in a room and not in a vehicle.

You will need to follow their instructions

Hi I also made thai driving license myself without any agent.

You even don’t need to do any online training

Procedures are simple for anyone to obtain new thai driving license:

1. You should get all documents ready and visit transportation office then they verify your docs and give you an appointment dates .

2.Go to an appointment date day and then they will take you to classroom which probably starts at 9-10am where there will be online video playing with English subtitles. either you can watch it carefully or don’t bother to watch it’s just an attendance for you then around 1pm they will ask you to go for lunch break and back by 2pm and again you’ll be sitting and watching video in classroom around 16:00 they will ask you to go to test room where there will be 50 questions MCQ. To pass that you have to get Atleast 45 marks out of 50.

If you pass at 1st attempt then next day you’ll have drive test and same day you’ll be issued your new thai driving license temporary for 2years .

If you fail theory test then you have to give again and again until you scored

.

Note: Theory test is hard so please go to google and watch thai driving test mcq question and answer , Because 80% questions are same as you’ll be watching in those in googles .

BEST LUCK TO YOU .

I got my license last month within 2 days by myself at just costs of 115 bhat .🫶🏻

and if you do both, car and motorbike you need to watch the same video and do the same test twice 😂

You probably watch a training video for couple of hours.

Unless you have a valid and current IDP and licence from your home country that indicates and shows you can legally drive a bike, you will need to sit the Thai training and tests. (Not sure how long they take because when I got my Thai licence I had a valid and current IDP). The 5 hours is likely the theory lessons and test.

"The 5 hours is likely the theory lessons and test." ah ok thank you, I already did the one hour online lesson and I got a QR code.
Adam ******
There is a theory test you can do online. Assuming you pass, then take along a copy of the QR code that comes onscreen at the end. This should save you a few hours at the centre.
