I’m currently in Thailand and working remotely in the field of web development (website creation and digital services). My work is entirely online.
I’ve heard about the DTV (Digital Nomad Visa) and I’m wondering if it would be a suitable option for someone in my situation, a remote worker.
Has anyone here applied for it recently? What are the pros and cons, and is it worth considering compared to other visa options?
Any advice or shared experience would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

TLDR : Answer Summary
A user in Thailand seeking information on the Digital Nomad Visa (DTV) for remote work in web development is gathering insights on its suitability, pros and cons, and how it compares to other visa options like the LTR or Elite Visa.
The pros: It's basically the only option you have for a long-term stay if you are under 50 years old. It's also the only fully legal way to work remotely in Thailand unless you qualify for the LTR visa. The only other long-term option for most people under 50 is the Elite/Privilege Visa which is VERY expensive.
