Hi, does anybody know if Thailand immigration strictly enforce the 6month passport validity rule? Is it up to immigration or the airline? At time of departure the passport would only have 5and a half months before expiry... Thanks in advance
TLDR : Answer Summary
The enforcement of the 6-month passport validity rule for entry into Thailand can depend on multiple factors, such as immigration regulations and airline policies. Generally, the requirement is stricter when applying for a visa in advance from a Thai consulate. However, upon arrival in Thailand, having enough validity to cover the duration of stay may suffice for entry. It's also noted that other neighboring countries may enforce the 6-month validity rule more strictly.
