TLDR : Answer Summary
A foreign passport holder with less than 6 months passport validity can enter Thailand if they possess a valid visa. Thailand does not enforce a strict 6-month passport validity rule. However, there can be issues when traveling to other Southeast Asian countries, as they may have stricter passport validity requirements. Moreover, airlines might impose a 6-month validity rule for international travel regardless of having a valid visa.
Very good thanks all, I’ve clarified with the arrival country and airline and they have no issues (not SE Asia)….my concern would be the return to Thailand

Yes, entering Thailand with a valid visa wouldn't be a problem, while actually, Thailand doesn't have a minimum 6-month passport validity rule.
But it's another story if you can "travel" with that passport around Southeast Asian countries or not. There is no other SEA country that has NOT a passport validity rule. And many airlines have a 6-month passport validity rule without a valid visa to the destination for an international flight.
