Thai visa gurus! Anyone here taken the slow boat to Luang Prabang recently? I'm thinking about attempting it on Christmas with a toddler to get new SETVs. Grand adventure or terrible idea? Ways best to go about it?

TLDR : Answer Summary
User seeks advice on taking the slow boat to Luang Prabang during Christmas with a toddler to obtain new SETVs. Comment points out that Thai consulates in Laos are limited to Vientiane and Savannakhet, suggesting potential need for an agent in Luang Prabang or a stop in Vientiane for visa processing.

The ONLY thai consulates in Lao are in Vientiane or Savannakhet.

So you'd either use an agent up in Luang Prabang (if they have them) or you'd stop in Vientiane for 2 days to get new SETV's .
