Is taking a ferry from Phuket to Koh Lipe, then to Langkawi, and returning to Thailand via Koh Lanta a good visa run idea?

Im staying in Phuket at the moment and have to do a visa run soon.

I was thinking of taking the ferry to Koh Lipe. Stay there a few days and then take the ferry to Langkawi. Stay there a few days and then take the ferry again to Ko Lanta to reenter Thailand.

What do you think about this idea?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The post discusses a plan for a visa run from Phuket to Koh Lipe, Langkawi, and returning to Koh Lanta. Commenters provide mixed feedback, discussing ferry availability, the feasibility of the trip, alternative options like flying to Vietnam for a day, and clarifications regarding ferry routes between the islands.

If the Lanta ferry is running (don’t think so) it will stop first in Koh Lipe.

The boat ride from PHuket to Lipe takes about 6 hours. Then ferry to Langkawi. You can do a border bounce there easily, but not a visa run. For visa run, it’s Penang or KL

That sounds like a lot more trouble than just flying to Vietnam for a day then flying back.
