Visa Run Service Referral

Hello! I'm looking for a referral for a quality visa run service. I'm a teacher between teaching contracts and looking to go from Bangkok to Laos to get a 60-day tourist visa. Thank you!

TLDR : Answer Summary
An expat is seeking referrals for a reliable visa run service from Bangkok to Laos to obtain a 60-day tourist visa. Several community members shared various options, including taking a bus over the Nong Khai border to Vientiane for a visa on arrival, or suggesting specific companies known for comfortable coach services. There was discussion about the differences between a 60-day tourist visa and visa-free entry. Participants noted current travel conditions and the possible closure of certain borders, emphasizing the importance of verifying the latest information before travel.

It’s a shame what’s happened because we are going to yasothon on Sunday from Bangkok and could have given you a lift but can’t guarantee that I can get diesel for the extra miles

It’s probably a 10 hour drive so I would be surprised if there are any companies doing it

Not familiar with Laos cost from BKK

In Nong Khai ( Thai border )

You can stamp out

Get on a bus for 30 baht

5 minutes over the bridge you are in Vientiane get a Laos Visa on arrival 40 USD

I would say either flying to Udon Thani from BKK or

Train or bus would be the cheapest way

You can go from

- Hua Hin ( in a mini van ) to Ranong / boat to Myanmar then

Back to Hua Hin in one day ( 12 hr round trip )

- 5300 baht for a 60 day stamp

I never used visa run services but when going to Sa Kaew from Bangkok (to visit wife's family) there were convoys of buses and minivans heading to Poi Pet (Cambodia) with the sole visa run purpose. Now that appears to be closed border.

Get a service from a visa run company with high floor coaches with toilet, entertainment, some even serve meals like on airplanes. It is a several hours travel each way.

Those with large coaches have a deal with border officers, whole bus loads get processed reasonably quickly.

ExcitingApricot2811 I also think that you are talking about a border run (or border bounce). Not a visa run..
