hey guys,

i have a short question just to clarify, can be deleted if i just repeat posts - starting tomorrow there might be another program that allows TR visa to be covid extended, but for every other visa like non immigrant not? what do they do then? normal extension for them like every 3 months?

Answer summary

The user inquired about the extension process for Non Immigrant visas in Thailand, particularly in the context of a potential new program that may allow extensions for TR visas due to COVID-19. According to the comments, it is possible to apply for a one-year Extension of Stay based on the reason for the Non Immigrant visa's issuance, indicating that these extensions operate independently from the TR visa extensions.

That news is about only the extension based on being unable to travel due to Covid situation not about any other type of extension. It's saying Non-immigrant type visa holder is not eligible for that Covid extension.

it's got alot to do with it, they don't want people that came here on non o visa's using the covid extension as a way of staying if they don't meet the criteria any longer for their non o ie the required cash in the bank. It's completely fair enough

You can apply for the 1 year Extension of Stay based on the reason why the Non Immigrant visa is issued.
