Is it a MUST (in order to have Visa approved) to include proof of an onward flight confirmation within the 180 days in the DTV application? Thanks.

TLDR : Answer Summary
Including proof of an onward flight confirmation in your DTV visa application is not universally required; it depends on the specific embassy's policies. Many embassies just request flight information, and in rare instances, some may ask for a paid ticket. It is generally advisable to check the requirements of the embassy where you are applying.

99% of the time they are asking, they just ask for flight information. So you need to go find a flight and put the information into the application.

There are actually some embassies that require a paid ticket included, but that's a rarity.

Depends on embassy. London ask this. But not all, some just ask for flight number. Best is to order a refundable ticket

In some cases, it's asked for by the embassy as additional documents. As a part of initial application it isn't required.
