I hope to take trip into Laos by motorbike. Does this visa remain valid to exit Thailand and re-enter a couple weeks later, or is it single entry only? If it's single entry I assume I would need a new Thai visa before returning? Thanks

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user inquires about the validity of their Thai visa for re-entry after a planned trip to Laos by motorbike. The responses clarify that unless a multiple-entry tourist visa was purchased, the current visa is a single-entry stamp. To retain the current visa stamp while traveling, a re-entry permit must be obtained before leaving Thailand, although it will not extend the visa's validity period.
this isn't a "can I drive into Lao and what is required" group, it's a VISA advice group. 😉
You wanna know how to get a vehicle you own into Lao google is your friend. 😛
It would appear that the O/P has their questions answered and we are done..

It’s not a visa. It’s entry stamp on tourist visa. unless you clearly bought Multiple Entry Tourist Visa, it’s single entry.
you can get re-entry permit before you leave Thailand to keep your current stamp “alive”. but it wouldn’t give you any extra days. you will be stamped until July 22.
no re-entry permits are NOT issued at the border, there is a building about 5km from the border in Nong Khai that sells them, you can't get a re-entry permit at the border.
