Hopefully this post gets approved.

I am dealing with a gym that tells me they can accept my application and proof of funds and forward it to the Foreign Department in Thailand and they approve and forward to my embassy. And then I suppose I go to embassy for a stamp in my passport ? Sounds like they are acting as an agent ?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The post raises concerns about a gym in Thailand claiming they can facilitate the application process for a Digital Nomad Visa (DTV). Several community members express skepticism, suggesting that the gym may be acting as a questionable agent or potentially a scam. They advise caution, indicating that the gym's services might not provide the desired DTV, as some visas obtained could only last for a short duration rather than the expected longer terms.

They can get Muay Thai Visa NOT A DTV.

Stay away from them if you want DTV as they won’t be able to provide, they may well get you a visa but for the cost you are going to be very disappointed to find out it’s only 6 or 12 months total and not the 5 year DTV

Don't be a guinea pig for that gym, agent, whatever. Go with a gym that has a proven track record for DTV paperwork and approvals

it’s one I found while searching. Is actually a site promoting certified gyms

this is one of the reasons my gym pulled out of marketing the DTV. Competitors are manufacturing consent and creating false realitys.

It's becoming a real cat fight and the customer looses out.

Either they are doing something dodgy or trying to offer “extra service” and charging you too much

If it smells like a scam............

That sounds like a kind of scam... 🙄🤔

You can't apply for a DTV inside of Thailand. If they "manage" something they deal with someone at some Embassy or Consulate in another country. Sounds fishy...

100% they just apply via evisa for you and charge you a fee

proof here is very at face value. I’m also just speculating.

kinda what I’m thinking. Maybe they are totally clueless as to the process

If you want to get the soft power dtv then you first need to sign up with the body that allows you to apply for it. I think what they're saying is they can provide the paperwork that allows you to apply

For a DTV or?

@Elías *******
Well... he's asking in the DTV Group and is dealing with a gym for getting a visa. What kind of visa may that be...? 😁

@Stephan **********
any other as what he describes doesn't fit at all the normal procedure for the DTV, that's why I was confirming

@Elías *******
It doesn't fit any kind of visa... or have you ever heard of a gym that is a "visa agent", dealing with the MFA?

No that is not how you apply for a DTV. I hope you have not paid any money .
