Hi,

Today I went to MTT to close the loop and they stamped on my passport 30 Nov. After that I went to Chaeng Wattana to convert to ED-visa, they received the documents, plus 2000Baht, which the same documents being rejected last time except I had the considering stamp back then. However, they didn't give me the result immediately but instead gave me a receipt that required to comeback on 4 Nov.

My question is, is this a normal case for anyone who also wants to convert VISA or just applied in COVID time? And whether should my case can be considered and approved or still nothing can tell for sure?

Thank you for any help, I'm sorry to bother everyone many times in this group.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user's experience with applying for an ED visa involved a normal process where they received a receipt indicating they need to return on a specified date for a decision on their visa application. Community members clarified that this is a standard procedure, particularly for submissions under Section C-1 of Non-Immigrant visas, which typically involves a 14-day consideration period before results are provided.

AND before people start asking or thinking that you can get an ED visa in country in Bangkok for studying at a private language school the O/P is enrolled in a real university for a real degree course.

Totally normal, in Section C-1 <- the section you apply for in country Non-Immigrant Type visas at you apply, and it goes under consideration for 14 days and then you go back on the date and get the Non-Imm visa and a new 90 day stamp inked into your passport.

IF they take your application you're good. Just go back on the 4th Of Nov. Get a queue number for Section C-1, but go right over and show one of the gurls in that section your receipt and hand them your passport. It takes about 15 minutes to get the Non-ED visa and the new 90 day stamp inked in
