For those who have cancelled ED visa and changed to COVID extension at samui.. were you able to accomplish this in one day? Did you leave immigration with an under consideration stamp / need to return? Or were you able to get your first 30 days etc.?

Can anyone confirm please whether samui is requiring additional documents (landlord ID card copy, every passport page copies etc.) ? 

Would be helpful for many to have a brief outline of this process based on first hand experience. Any input appreciated. Thanks for reading.

Just a bit of clarification.

As long as your extension based on studying was issued by Samui immigration office, as

says... Because you have to cancel your current extension at the immigration office that issued it. Not the office where you live currently ( this is where you would apply for Covid extension)

While I can't comment specifically on what the Samui immigration office requires to cancel an ED visa extension so you can apply for a 60 day covid extension I can say that it's done at the same time.

You take the documents from your school saying you stop studying on xx date, they cancel the extension, and then you immediately apply for a 60 day covid extension right after.

also the most recent reports from Samui was that they were not issuing the 14 day under consideration stamp but inking in the 60 day extension on the spot.
