Approved in HCMC but warning, dont do it there unless you are ready for 2 rounds of additional documents included payslips from a decade ago and tranlated taxes from tranlation agencies. Do not recommend.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The discussion highlights mixed experiences regarding visa approvals in Ho Chi Minh City (HCMC). One user warns about the potential challenges, including the need for extensive documentation such as payslips from a decade ago and translated tax documents, suggesting it’s not a recommended place for applications. In contrast, others report positive experiences, mentioning easier approvals with updated documents and minimal issues compared to rejections faced elsewhere. This indicates a varied experience in the visa application process in HCMC.

I remembered we applied at the same time last 2024 November I think. But I heard tons of stories right now HCMC consulate asked many non-sense additional documents and got rejected by so many people.

yeah I say time to stop recommensing ppl hcmc, everyone is going there and they are starting to tighten up, not surprises you got rejected and then approved in Manila. I somehow got it approved but final document count must have been 100+ pdf pages

Yep can’t recommend it either. HCMC rejected me after requesting a bunch of additional docs, Warsaw approved with same exact set of papers (just newer dates)

CleverRadish5177 yeah im still surprised they approved me, this application was beyond anything i expected, felt like they were looking so hard for some minnor mistake to not approve. Gladly I got pretty hardcore about it, final papers must have been like 100+ pdf pages combined all requests.
