You can indeed use international insurance of a minimum of 100K USD coverage, IF you can get the insurance company to sign and stamp THIS letter <- it's the one on the OA/OX visa webpage on the tab saying
"Download Foreign Insurance Certificate (for oversea only)"

just know it's very, very difficult to get an insurance company to sign this. Many people end up having to purchase one of the policies from the approved list of Thai insurance companies because of thatActivity
