Anyone applied for DTV with the 500k funds held in a Wise account?

Are their bank statements just as reliable/acceptable as a traditional bank account statement for proof of funds/income?

My Wise account is registered in NZ. My business is registered in NZ and my business banking is with a NZ bank.

I pay myself (from my NZ registered business) into my Wise account each month, so plan to keep my 500k in a different wallet (probably Australian) so I don´t accidently dip into it/overspend.

I can download statements for both currencies, they both still contain my name & NZ registered address. The only difference is the bank account number & the SWIFT or BSB codes relevant to each country.

Thanks in advance.
Answer summary
The question concerns the acceptability of using a Wise account as proof of funds for a Thailand DTV visa application, particularly when the account is linked to a New Zealand registered business. Comments indicate mixed experiences, with some users successfully using Wise as proof while others recommend having a traditional bank account to avoid potential issues due to Wise not being a traditional bank.

Wise is not universally accepted as it's not actually a bank. Something you need to ask the consulate you will use directly

Although not the preferred place to hold funds depending on the embassy there are many many people who have successfully used Wise as proof of funds.

On a side note I hope you're not applying from New Zealand, their visa fees are insane.

Wise is not a bank. And you shouldn't keep money there.

In general, Wise is not acceptable, BUT I have seen post here where people have said they have been approved with Wise. So it may be embassy specific. If I were you, I'd open a regular bank account to remove the element of chance no matter where I apply. It's one less thing to possibly be denied over. Do a search in the group for "Wise" and the country you plan to apply through (New Zealand?) to see if you can get info on the chance Wise will be accepted there, and the amount of time the funds need to be in an account (seasoning).
