I am unemployed and have just over 500k in my account. Another 400k invested. Will that be enough? Has anyone been accepted like this?
I get support from my family. Not regularly, though, so I don't want to give it as income.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user inquires if having over 900k baht is sufficient for the Thailand DTV Soft Power visa while being unemployed, emphasizing uncertainty about managing living expenses without regular income. Community members provide insights, indicating there is no specific income requirement but highlight that funds must not be spent during the stay. Recommendations include preparing supporting documents for the application and potentially using family financial support letters.
For soft power there is no specific income requirement however the 500,000 isn’t supposed to be spent at all furring your trip.. similar to the retire visa 800k sitting in the bank doing nothing. Not for your day to day expenses
Dollars or baht? My dad has a soft power DTV with 600k baht in his account, but I wrote a letter saying I will be fully responsible for him, showing a larger account.
I would have all the supporting documents they may ask for ready beforehand, and also get the documents officially certified.
Like your bank statements etc. Even if you don't need them, it really speeds up the process when they ask for them.
In many cases, this involves obtaining an affidavit to specify the documents you want officiated, and most Thai Royal embassies may request this but also accept affidavits from the home country's embassy, even if it's in another country.
I had them request this in Malaysia and it took two extra weeks as I had to make an appointment at the US Embassy in Kuala Lumpur to do this.
You'll need the money to sign up for at least 6 months of your chosen soft power activity before applying. I'd save the support from your family in case they ask how you will support yourself over the 5 year duration of the visa
