I applied from Brazil on August 4th. They requested one additional document on 5th, and my application was approved today, August 6th.
Just two days for approval in Brazil! 🥳

Thanks everyone for relevant comments. Obviously is was simply another harassment tactic the Thailand’s Privilege foists upon its lifetime members.
This morning Thailand Elite called him to make an appointment to receive his new visa on August 17th.
even 50 or more years ago some proof of birth would have to have been submitted to get a british passport as far as I am aware. I dare say I will be corrected if I am wrong
Let me see. Should I ask for advice from the anonymous, the insane, the deranged, the plain weird, the alcoholics and the wind-up trolls on various social media platforms. Or should I pop along to a lawyer who specialises in these matters? I know I know. It's a close call ....
Why does He not have His birth certificate from His original birth Country? He should be able to get a new birth certificate from his original birth Country and submit that with His British passport.
Steven L. Daugherty Of course he must have had something, but in a country that (according to the info we have) did not routinely issue birth certificates when he was born, that something was apparently not a birth certificate, which is what he now needs.
The original Thailand Privilege scheme had lifetime validity and was pretty generous with free golf green fees, massages etc. Some friends of mine got that around 2004 or so.
I’m pretty sure that if your friend still has his passport from the same country as when they accepted his application, there’s no way they can terminate the membership.
Just ask him to get a good lawyer and contact their office.
in addition to an attorney I suggest he explore with the British Embassy getting access to his original paperwork when he first obtained his UK Passport
ArticulateChipmunk5959 if you don't ask you will not know if information is possible or not....... especially as the submission gained citizenship/passport as a result. And really you are not the OP - why disparage input that the OP asked for...... have a great day
It’s more common than you might think. In the days before money laundering rules, systems were much more accommodating of people from countries without birth paperwork in past eras (and there were also more of those people, they’re ageing out now).
Perhaps. Just not seen any instance of this in the Privilege visa arena. Perhaps they don’t know about stuff from 75 years ago hence why a lawyer might be able to advise.
David Cook i want to thank you for your lessons now. It's got a passport, and they say, what you requires either a bath.Passport, who are birth certificate, guys room? The passport that he has is not valid
David Barkdull I can not understand what you meant. If I were born in UK, even I was a foreigner but just born there, can I have Uk passport??? just being born makes that country's passport?? yes, in USA, possible, but in most of countries including Thailand has nothing to do with being born in the country. If I am born in Thailand as foreigner, so I get Thai passport? it does not make sense at all of what they required. Uk is his official country of origin.
I actually said Thailand Privilege wants his passport from his country of origin or birth certificate. He has had valid British passports for more than 5 decades. It is another I think it’s a Thailand Elite scam to void out their lifetime membership.
I would contact a lawyer, i think siam legal offer free consultations. Looks like privilege office trying to get out of there deal. 99% of people on here wont have even heard of the lifetime elite
