Recently came back on my DTV at BKK airport. No issues, I gave my DTV paper to the immigration officer, no questions nothing asked. Stamped back in for 6 months!

I didn't even give any printouts. I just recently filled out a tdac form at the airport and indicated the Dtv visa and its number. Not a single question. 180 days.

I'm still not getting it. I've been in and out five times since I've had the DTV. Never any problems. People make these announcements like it's something special and expecting a standing ovation. What am I missing?

Anonymous participant 524 as someone who is in the middle of making my move to Thailand, it’s nice to read stuff like this because I keep hearing that it’s becoming more and more difficult for people coming back from border runs ect.

As long as you comply to all visa rules and can prove that when necessary you have nothing to fear.

Obiously there are a lot of DTV holders not complying to the rules, and for that group it might get more difficult, but even for that group the chance to get in trouble is not very high at the moment.

What you're reading are those who have had issues returning. The vast majority have no problems. I will say one thing, DTV holders are certainly the most paranoid group of visa holders in history! 😂. I've had five "successful" re-entries so that should make you feel better

I don’t care if you comment or not, I see many people post and this is a feedback group. If you don’t like what I posted trying to help others you can just ignore it.

Anonymous participant Don't worry. I stood and gave you a rounding applause because you achieved something very special in your mind! Good for you!

I just tell my experience that way others can know what to expect.

Anonymous participant it's good to know the ease of entry as there are some who like to scaremonger.

Routine checks will always only be a very small percentage, and when you comply to the rules you have nothing to fear when checked, so the stories of people who got checked have nothing to do with scaremongering, just telling facts

I'm not talking about genuine stories of being checked. There have been obvious posts which are meant to scaremonger due to the lies told.

I have no reason to believe there are many fake stories. I don't understand why some people think stories about checks are not real. Why should the stories scare somebody? A check will cost a bit more of your time, but what is an hour on a stay of months?

Not saying there are many but there have been obvious false posts made and many spotted the lies. There are much less of those silly posts nowadays e.g having a business class tickets eases arrivals for DTVERS.

Yesterday, I came in to CNX airport, the officer held my passport for 5 minutes without any questions. He just said “Wait”, then “how long will you stay here?” I said “till the end of the year, I have DTV”. He also had my E-visa papers, but still.

Then “what will you do here?” I explained my work… only at that point he stamped.

Maybe coz my passport is Myanmar passport.

Anonymous participant 684 unfortunately even if you have the correct visa and paperwork you may be subject to extra scrutiny due to your passport. You have your DTV which is the main thing..

And that is exactly why this original post is totally useless. How much information is given? Recently came back? From where? How long away? What category of DTV? What nationality passport? Where was visa obtained? Now come on, if people want to give feedback make it useful feedback that others can relate to. Might as well post "I had a really good shเt the other night" and sit back and wait for the congratulations to come flooding in
