Hi, last week I went to Changwattana Immigration and submitted all my paperwork for my son’s Non B dependant visa. All paperwork was accepted and my son was asked to return 21st (this Friday). Assuming that everything is Ok, how long can he expect to get on his new VISA.

More info:

I am a Teacher in Thailand and I have a Non B visa which expires on 20th May 2023.

Will they stamp his expiry date to match mine?

Thank You

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user's son recently submitted paperwork for a Non B dependant visa and is scheduled to return to the immigration office. It is anticipated that, if approved, the son will initially receive a 90-day visa, which might not align with the user's visa expiry. A 1-year extension can be applied for towards the end of this 90-day period, which will then match the user's visa expiry.

If he just applied for Non-O dependent from his tourist visa or visa-exempt, it will be an in-country initial visa and he will be stamped for 90 days permitted to stay.

You need to apply for his 1-year extension at the end of that 90 days (when he has 45 days or less with his stamp) getting documents from your employer again, then he will be stamped matching as yours.

It doesn't sound this way, but IF he entered Thailand on Non-O dependent, this application was for an extension, then he will be stamped matching as yours.
