TLDR : Answer Summary
The processing time for a Tourist visa at the Royal Thai Embassy in Kuala Lumpur generally takes about 1 to 2 days, depending on the applicant's nationality. It is required to make an appointment for both the submission and collection of the visa. Most applicants report being able to apply in the morning and collect their visa the next working day in the afternoon.

hi there, thanks for this! Just a quick one, did you have to provide proof of accommodation for your full duration of stay? ๐Ÿ˜€

we have a place in ๐Ÿ‡น๐Ÿ‡ญ so Iโ€™m really not sure. I think they would answer that question quickly if you sent email inquiry

it seems impossible to make an appointment online, the calendar is full for the next 2 months. Or can I just walk in?

we had to keep checking for availability online. But they do not accept walk ins at RTE in KL. Security at the gate and you must show your appt.

which visa did you apply for?

60 day tourist visa

can I ask you something? I'm going to apply for the same visa. One of the requirements is "proof of payment for 60 night accommodation". Did you have this? I was just gonna book something on Agoda with the "pay later" option, so at least I would have a confirmed hotel booking, but did you actually added a bank account statement showing you paid for 60 nights hotel?

not 1 slot available for all of May and impossible to click further to June.

I believe at the KL embassy you need to make an appointment to apply and an appointment to collect.

Amount of time will be dependent on your nationality. Perhaps you can check on their website, but for most countries I believe it is apply in the morning and collect the next working day in the afternoon.

Edit havenโ€™t used KL for years so perhaps someone with recent knowledge can confirm

I'll be going next month to apply. I checked their calendar a few days ago. Plenty slots available.

yes I see slots I plan going end of this month. I just need to call them Monday because I have a question about the Bank funds . I only have the funds in my overseas bank which they told me is okay however I can only print these out and will not be originals from my bank so I was curious if it's ok ?

@Apple ****
I'll do the same, it should be ok. I did it before for the Thai consulate in Singapore, just printed a screenshot from my banking app showing the last 3 months. You also need Hotel bookings for your entire stay but you can book a hotel and use the "pay later option" & "free cancellation". Here are all the requirements:
