Anyone here holding LTR visa? If so, did you use a third party or applied on your own? How long did it take you to get approved?

TLDR : Answer Summary
Several users share their experiences with the LTR visa application process in Thailand. One person applied on their own and received approval within 3-4 weeks, indicating that the timeline has improved to around 2-3 weeks now for complete applications. Another commenter also applied independently, finding the process straightforward without the need for a third party.
LONG TERM RESIDENT (LTR) VISA RESOURCES / SERVICES
Hey can I ask you for LTR visa requirement if is it ok I Can show my current job contract and last 2 years job offer and payslips that meet criteria of income greater than 80k USD per year in last 2 years. My doubt is I will show salary slips of different companies since I switched my Job.
Also I have other stock investments and Fixed deposit returns that also adds extra as passive income on top of 80k USD
I was working in Dubai and it has no taxes so no tax returns but I have tax returns of my home country(but my major income source was Dubai that contributes to 80k USD)
any idea on this..? or you know someone who can help or guide..?
well I was just wondering because I need to have some of documents translated and notarized so I don't really know if third party might be better. I talked to a third party and they wanted 3000 USD (excluding the visa fee), which is absurd.
I am Dutch and needed to have my taxes officially translated. The translation company can stamp the documents then no notary required. Most do this automatically. The two texts need to be side by side. Go to a professional company in your home country.
After the documents were submitted I was in the Netherlands at the time so I applied for an electronic visa. I did not want to go to the office in Bangkok

Applied on my own. Took about 3-4 weeks to be approved but this was just after the program started. They've worked out the kinks a bit since then and it should take about 2-3 weeks now for a fully complete application.

where you apply is not relevant in any way. You can fill out the application from anywhere in the world.
Once you are approved they will ask you if you want to get your visa in Bangkok or from a Thai embassy. That's when you decide where to get it. I recommend doing so in Bangkok.
Ah ok. Great piece of information. Thank you. So I apply here in Canada and pick up the visa in Thailand. Do I pay for it then or have to pay while here?
you make the choice where you want to pick it up. If you want to apply through the embassy, you pay the embassy and you pay whatever price they decide.
If you pick it up in Bangkok you pay 50,000 baht directly to immigration
No, if you're not in Thailand you apply for the LTR through your local Thai embassy after you are approved, and then you receive an evisa pdf document you have to print and carry for the next 10 years. You also will pay whatever the embassy decides, which is usually a few hundred dollars more than the 50,000 baht at least, if not more.
I would recommend traveling to Thailand as a tourist and picking up the visa in Bangkok so you have a stamp in your passport instead of a printed visa and so that you pay 50,000 baht exactly.
