Does anyone know how to start applying for this visa or an agent or firm that does this?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The discussion revolves around the expected introduction of the Long-Term Residence (LTR) visa in Thailand, which is anticipated to have reduced requirements and a pricing model more attractive than the Elite Visa. However, participants express uncertainty about the existence and readiness of the visa, with comments questioning when it will officially be available for application and if visa agents will be able to process it. Some participants share a sense of hope for imminent developments but also express frustration over the delays.
LONG TERM RESIDENT (LTR) VISA RESOURCES / SERVICES
Visa agents can’t process this visa. It doesn’t exist. Perhaps at some point in the future they may well be able to, but until it actually exists they can’t.

Not sure why our building is in the article.
But when this visa does become available we will be assisting with it.
yeah, that need to go online and submit a report 4 times a year is a real nightmare...

More details on the potentially soon the be introduced long-term residence LTR visa. Made more flexible requirements seem rather doable now. Pricing at 50k baht for a 10-year visa fair, much better than the overpriced Elite Visa. So, the big question is: When will this visa actually be ready to be applied for and where / how? And in this regard: When will RTE consulates around the world then be aware of such new visa and the underlying procedures? Fingers crossed it is now only a matter of a few weeks.
Nothing to do with Elite Visa, which is essentially a retirement visa for the under 50's. This is a working visa, but the financial criteria will price most "digital nomads" out of the equation
Thanks - yes the pricing is more in-line with other offerings from tourist countries. Requirements are reasonable for those looking for a real long term option without laying down 30k. Let's hope something moves forward on this.

It doesn’t exist. It might at some time in the future but we’ll just have to wait and see.
News stories like this have been around for years. Perhaps this will transpire. Perhaps.
Theres been media stories for years about a “digital nomad” visa or a “rich man’s” visa and various politicians spouting off about the benefits of such. So far just hyperbole. It may happen, but I’m not holding my breath.
