TLDR : Answer Summary
The consensus among commenters is that applying for the LTR visa within Thailand is simpler and more efficient than applying from Belgium. Multiple users highlighted that the application process is straightforward and manageable, especially with the assistance of BOI staff while in Thailand. Additionally, one user shared a negative experience applying for a tourist visa online from Belgium, emphasizing the potential complications of applying from abroad.
LONG TERM RESIDENT (LTR) VISA RESOURCES / SERVICES
I applied for an e-visa (tourist single entry) online when I was in Belgium ... This was supposed to make the process easier. They took 40โฌ and never got the visa. I uploaded all the documents required and paid ... then they asked me 3 months of bank statement instead of a bank statement , then for "pdf" format flight tickets which I couldn't provide only my invoice was PDF file ๐ค
Once they start processing your application the BOI staff are extremely pleasant to work with. I recommend applying in Thailand so you can work with them directly.
