TLDR : Answer Summary
The duration for visa extension approval in Thailand can vary. One user reported receiving their extension stamp six weeks after submission, with their stamp under consideration showing up after the initial wait. Additionally, it's noted that applicants should check the expiration date on their stamp, as approvals may not involve direct contact from immigration. Instead, one should return to the immigration office before the stamp's expiration for further processing.

When does it say that stamp expires?

They don't contact you for approval, you show up at the immigration office on the date that stamp runs out and they ink in the extension.

It says 23rd October. So have to wait a week more.

Didn't expect it would take this long.

Thanks for the quick reply though

it's up to EACH individual Thai Immigration office to set their own Under Consideration time period.

yes I know that but I get the impression it's usually 1 month. I thought it was a mistake when I saw 2 months but it wasn't

Most under consideration stamps are for 30 days

However, if it's from bangkok immigrations they went to 21 day under consideration stamps over a year ago.

Just show up at the immigration office on the date that stamp runs out and you can get the year extension inked in

you're almost thru the process ๐Ÿ™‚
